Best-known for their work on Porsche cars, GEMBALLA wants to prove that it is not married to the German sports brand. We now have details and plenty of pictures of this MIG-U1 based on the Ferrari Enzo. Its V12 powerplant now makes 515kW (700hp).
The new front skirt features a spoiler lip that generates up to 35kg (77 lbs) of additional downforce and there are door extensions to the diffuser and rear spoiler. All wheel-houses take advantage of the extensive cooling system to keep the brakes within optimum temperatures. There is a rear flap that lowers itself at speeds of over 120km/h (75mph). Fresh air goes into the engine bay through air inlets located behind the doors and on the roof. Overall the car is now 80 millimetres (3 inches) wider up front and 100mm (3.9 inches) wider at the back.
Because this thing needs to be as close to the ground as possible in order to achieve impressive speeds, it almost kisses the ground. But to facilitate easy runs over normal obstacles like speed humps, an optional electro-hydraulic height-adjustment system that can lift it up by 45mm (1.7 inches) is available.
Wheels are 10x19 inch forged rims at the front and 13x20 inch types at the back. They are wrapped in 265/35 and 335/30 tyres.
Customers will be treated to an interior featuring niceties like satellite navigation, a DVD changer, an iPod connection, a 7-inch touch screen and a 950-Watt amplifier for the sound.
GEMBALLA promises that no two of the 25 planned MIG-U1 production models will be exactly the same.
